Boaz’s Graduation Party

July 21st, 2008

Tonight Mazie and I went to Boaz’s graduation party. Lots of good food and fun. I was able to take some swings at a baseball, and almost hit one out of the park. I think I was probably 20 feet short of doing so. As usual, I had my camera with me, and I was able to get some good shots with a nice blue sky for a background. It’s amazing what you can do with light. I’ve added some pictures to a small album, so go take a look! Below are 3 pictures from the album.

MBC 08: Photo Gallery

July 20th, 2008

Well, as the title implies, I have finally put together a photo gallery. I only included around 100 pictures, simply because it takes me way too long to edit all the pictures to put them online, and a lot of them were repeats.

Anyways, here’s the link to the gallery, or just click on the “photos” box above  Enjoy!

MBC 08: The Power to Share the Good News

July 19th, 2008

Well, with MBC over, it’s time for me to go through all my pictures and come up with an album. This will take a few days, but I’ll finish it up eventually. All in all, this year’s Music and Bible camp went really well in my opinion with the performance last night going great. It’s always great to see everything come together and work out in the end. Below are a couple of pictures that were taken from day 4.

MBC 08: The Power to Live Forever!

July 17th, 2008

Today was the last full day of Music and Bible camp, with tomorrow being more geared towards getting ready for the concert tomorrow evening. Today’s bible point focused around the death and resurrection of Jesus, such that Jesus gives us the power to live forever!

A majority of the pictures that I took today focused around the TAs since I needed to get a couple of them. However, since I had to run a station in the afternoon, I had to let some of the TAs borrow my camera to go take shots of the other stations. By the end of the day, I ended up with almost 700 pictures taken for just today! It’ll definitely take me awhile to go through all of them for the slideshow. Below are a few that were taken during today.

MBC 08: The Power to be Brave!

July 16th, 2008

Well, it’s now more than half way to the end of Music and Bible camp and things have been going really well. The kids seem to all really be having a lot of fun, and the TAs have all done a great job helping out with things so far this week. Today’s bible point was that Jesus gives us the power to be brave! This was based around the story of Peter walking on water to go and meet Jesus.

Running “Station 5″ or what we’re calling Power Lab, I do this one activity where I take pictures of the kids the previous day and then show those pictures in a slide show that tells a story the following day. It’s pretty funny how all the kids love to see themselves in the pictures, and they even complain if they don’t see themselves enough. Gotta spread those pictures around evenly! It’s also been a good way for me to take pictures, though I miss out on being able to take pictures of the other afternoon bible stations.

Well anyways, here are a few pictures from today. Enjoy!

What pretty pony tails!

This is actually from Day 1, but I thought it was a good one so I posted it anyways.

MBC 08: The Power to Help Others

July 15th, 2008

Another day in the books, and a lot more pictures taken. I think drinking coffee this morning definitely helped to keep my energy up throughout the day. Today’s bible point was that “Jesus gives us the power to help others!” This year, whenever the kids hear the bible point, they all yell out “Aha!” I was thinking “Eureaka!” would’ve worked too, but Aha was probably more understandble for the kids. Anyways, below are a few pictures that I picked out from the 300+ I took today. A real photo album will come eventually, so you’ll have to enjoy these in the mean time.
