Photo Finishing Fun
August 2nd, 2008
Recently I’ve been trying to get the pictures I take to look a lot better. I still need to work on taking better pictures, but that’s only part of the process. The other part of the process is post processing of the pictures. In the past, I’ve typically just done some auto adjustments and played around with the curve used in photoshop to get a picture. However, recently I’ve been trying out a few different things. Here’s one example of how things have come along.

The original shot

The finished shot
I personally like the look of the processed picture, as it warms it up and makes it more vibrant. What do you think?
Hopefully I’ll be able to improve the rest of the pictures that I take so that they’ll all look good. I’m now looking forward to taking more pictures so I can edit them afterwards! ![]()

The edit picture is too “harsh” in tone. It is not good looking. The original is preferred in my view. Make good picture is science + art. Need more practice. Ha Ha!!

Hi Lawrence!! How’s life in Rochester w/ Mazie? Do you still get to visit LS/BCCC? You like taking pictures too?
So does my husband and my brother. They’re really into it.
It’s a very nice hobby.

Haha…the edited one is interesting but it doesn’t look …natural
? I’m sure you can get it with practice

I see your point Law. The warmer look IS nice, but possibly try to deshine the right nose a bit and include the left shoulder in the effects because now it does not look like a shoulder that belongs to her.
