Well, the RCCC church retreat was this past Memorial Day weekend at Watson Homestead. I think I’ve been to atleast 10 retreats at this location, with my brother probably having gone to more. The speaker this year was Olivia and Marissa’s Uncle, David, who’s an associate pastor, I believe, at a church in California. While I missed most of Saturday since I was at Mazie’s graduation, I wasn’t able to hear all of his messages. The few messages that I did hear though, were all very good, and well received by the youth group. Hopefully, everyone’ll be able to remember what was taught even after leaving the retreat.

The weather was beautiful all weekend, with lots of sun, and few clouds. Definitely nice having good weather, which kept all the gnats from being there like they usually have been in previous years. Some of the highlights of the weekend include playing speed scrabble with the youth groupers, having fun taking night pictures, and the success of all the groups in the egg drop activity.

Hopefully for the youth group retreat and for next year’s church retreat, we can get even more youth groupers to go!
