Harvest Festival 2005
October 30th, 2005
For many years now, RCCC has put on a harvest festival every year on October 31, a.k.a Halloween. The idea behind having this festival is to allow kids of not having to go out on halloween and follow along with “pagan” traditions. We instead invite them to come to church and play games, win prizes, and get candy where we can also possible teach them a thing or two about God. Every year that this has been put on has really turned out to be a great blessing.
Since tomorrow’s Halloween, we had to set up and decorate the church gym for the event. So the youth group worked together in setting everything up and getting everything ready. We also had a little bit of fun playing the games ourselves too.
I put some pictures up in the photo album of the youth group setting stuff up. I’ll be bringing my camera tomorrow night too, so hopefully I’ll have more pictures to upload later. But for now, go take a look at the pictures currently up, and especially note the pics of Spencer trying to block a few shots in basketball.
* I’ve added more pictures from the event and included pictures of the kids, games, and the pie eating contest. I’ve also changed the highlite picture so that Erin’s picture isn’t the highlite for the album. ![]()
