SPF 45: What do those words mean to you? We’ll in fact it is an experimental measure of the transmittance of ultraviolet radiation to the body. It roughly signifies that a normal application will block the sun for 45 more minutes before your skin will burn. “Good to know” I say, as I hastily apply it and dive onto my beach chair for some sun-baking. SPF45 is some strong stuff, enough so that it is clearly visible on my person where I have and where I have not applied sunblock.

You can clearly see where my fingers stop on my torso, and they make cute little groove patterns on my chest.
At least it wasn’t on my face!
