How to Win a Guy in 7 Steps
For a follow up of my previous post “How to Win a Girl in 7 Steps” I figured I’d write a 7 step guide for you girls out there on how to win a guy. It’s nice to have the guy doing the work, but hey girls can at least get things started in hopes of a better chance of success. Valentines is also just right around the corner so this can be the perfect time to put this to practice, and no, sending yourself flowers and candy doesn’t count.
1. Find the right (single) guy. From another one of my previous posts, I asked whether girls preferred looks or personality. It seemed that the resounding answer was that personality was the top choice by girls. So first things first, find a guy that has the right personality. While looks sure will help, I’m sure that you’d be happier with the guy that you can talk to instead of just stare at. But if looks is your thing, then go and find that guy. And hey, If you can get a guy that has both, all the better!
2. Let him know that you exist! Usually unless a guy likes you or unless you’re already friends with him, he might not even know you exist. While I’m sure you girls want the guy to do all the asking, it doesn’t hurt to get things started and go talk to him and just find out some things about him and let them know some things about you, i.e. your name. If they can remember that much, then things are going well.
3. Find out what they’re interested in”. Now that they know your name, find out what they’re interested in. It’s important to know what a guy enjoys to do. It gives you a common ground and something to talk about and something else for him to remember you by. It’s ok the guy enjoys football and you know nothing about football. Get him to teach you! Unless he’s very impatient, he’ll most likely enjoy teaching you about football.
4. Participate! Not only find out what they’re interested in, but also try to participate in that activity as well. If they enjoy playing video games, then go play video games. If they like to play sports, then go and play the same sport! If it’s running around like a little girl, then go run around like a little girl with him…actually go find another guy if the guy you have in mind does that. It’s ok if you’re around watching, but then he might be more likely to be involved in the activity than to be paying any attention to you. So go and play or participate. They’ll definitely remember you if you’re playing and you catch the winning touchdown pass.
5. Keep in contact. Now that you’ve found out the interests of the guy you have in mind, and even participated in those interests, it’s time that you keep in contact. This doesn’t mean that you become a stalker, but that you should keep talking to the guy. You don’t have to be talking about anything serious or thought provoking, it can be as simple as finding out how his day was. The more you keep in contact, the more likely they’ll want to keep in contact with you. Again, remember to not overdo it and become a stalker.
6. Smile! 
Yes, that’s right, smile! It’s something so simple that people overlook the fact that they need to smile. Give the guy a smile when you see him. Letting him see you with a smile will make a big difference when trying to keep his attention. It might even brighten his day to see you with a smile and to know that you’re smiling at him. When in doubt, just smile!
7. Food! As you may have heard the saying go, “The best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” What better way to impress a guy than to bring him food. Find out what foods he likes, goto restaurants where he has a favorite dish. Offer to bring him some cookies or snacks. Even better if you bake or cook them yourself. If a guy’s full, then he’s happy. So try to help the guy you have an interest in have a full stomach. If he remembers you as helping to feed him, he’ll definitely remember you and will want to be around you as well.
Well there you have it, the 7 steps on how to win a guy. While these steps are just Mazie and my views, I’d say it’s a good start on trying to help you girls win that guy of yours. Don’t forget to also just be yourself and enjoy the things that you’re doing. Also, don’t sell yourself short by doing things that you hate or don’t want to do just to impress a guy. It’s really not worth it in the end. Feel free to leave comments or your own stories that you may have. The more comments the merrier. I hope this helps!

I found out about #7 accidentally. See, it was my friend’s birthday and I decided to make her piles of cookies and also give some to my friend dave whose cookies (from his mom) i often steal. The night before I’m telling this guy about how i’m baking all these cookies the next day for my friend and giving some to dave and he asks if he can have some. Not wanting to be mean, I say yes. So the next day I deliver some amazingly tasty cookies to him and he is overwhelmed with my kindness. So much so that he asks me out for dinner and my phone number. After shimmying my way out of that situation I found out later that he thought there was something there because I brought cookies (despite the fact that i had clearly made the cookies for my friend with the birthday and given some to another guy)
I would also like to add #8. The “Damsel-in-Calculus-Distress”. Back in my first year I was taking calculus for some crazy reason. I only knew one guy in the class and would ask him to help me allll the time because, let’s face it, i was pathetic. One day we’re talking on the phone about an assignment and he says how he doesn’t want to discuss math and then asks me for dinner. Caught off guard, i evaded that situation as well. A few weeks later I have found a new math expert and he patiently helps me with the logarithms and derivates… fast forward a bit and I find myself on a date without even knowing it. Unfortunately i didn’t get out of that situation as smoothly as the others and made up some lame excuse for not wanting to date him.
I hope this doesn’t all make me sound like I think i’m a hot commodity because I assure you that I’m fully aware that i’m not. These three experiences actually make up 75% of the occasions i have been asked on a date in my lifetime

this is good stuff. but the way you’re writing it, it kinda seems like the girl is being all clingy…and they’re just gonna do what the guy wants ti get him interested in her. i would think then, if the guy found out eventually that the girl did all those things to impress him, and wasnt actually interested in football or w/e…that would be a turn-off.

i think that instead of food being the key to a guys heart (becuz then he has the opportunity to use you to gettin free food or trying to get anything else from you cuz he probly figured out already that you like him) but i agree with the smiling part but you also need to laugh alot (but make sure its not over something stupid) and ive come to figure out that joking around…. alot (but no dissing on people that you know wont be able to take a joke), being outgoing, funny, being able to take a joke, and DONT ever complain about your looks or weight in front of guys. Now those are the main keys to a guy. yeah, it might seem like a lot but they all fit together so when you get one down, the other ones will come easier and quicker. but you might not always get the guy you want, but if things go well, youll have quite a bit to choose from.

I really like this huy but he is so much older than me. He goes on vacations with this woman but i think they are just friends.. so i dOnt know if i should still use these tips. HEY!! I have not yet tried these steps!! but i have read them over and over. They sound like they would work too! except i think that #7 is kinda “odd” just for me personaly bcuz i think i would look gay saying ” Oh here i made these for u!” i mean come on! but i am going to smile at him a lot! and today i went out for breakfast with a lil group of people and i was the 1st person to sit down and then HE sat right next to me!!! i felt so good. we anyways…i really really really hope this works cuz bI want a boy in my life! Guys out there…is participating really the thing to do? I’m in to this guy, and he likes soccer, but I’m not a soccer player! I’m hardcore field hockey… I like to watch soccer, but at our youth group all we do is play soccer then go in and talk about the Bible! How do you make a guy want to spend time with you? ASK HIM FOR HELP. Guys like to show off their stuff. Ie, sports, homework, computers, you name it. Ask him to teach you something because you’ve been dying to learn for a long time and tell him it’s because he seems like such an expert at it. At worse, he’ll tell you that he’s NOT an expert. Um yeah….good tips….but I’ll let all of you girls in on a little secret: the best way to impress a man? Race cars. Yup, you read me right, race cars. On the street, on the track, whatever. When a fine girl gets behind a large piece of machinery and handles it like it was meant to be handled, he can’t help himself.
If you’re faster than him, great; if not, wait for a faster man to come along.
THEN consider baking brownies…

ok i love what you wrote but I am not like your average girl.
1.im slighly over weight (all i have to lose is like 30-40 pounds) and i’ve lost some weight since i saw the “one”.

The tips sound good and some of your comments are hilarious.
So ya, smiling is a very good one for all ages, but I try not to smile too much, I need braces, haha. Ya…my front teeth are not so pretty…
Yup, smiling sounds good, but probably most of these aren’t for little girls, I mean, you can’t really do some of this when you’re obsessed with a little boy, and that comment goes towards any of the whiny people on here, who are most-likely not adults, which I’m not either.

I think those steps are very good for two particular reasons.
1. They’re not very original (my opinion), but that’s what makes it so effective. Simple things are almost always the best things.
2. Even if you don’t win the guy as a boyfriend or wathever, i can guarantee you’ll win him as a friend. And if you don’t win him as a friend, then he’s got some major problems and is NOT worth your time. I know it’s hard to accept it sometimes but you just do. It’ll only hurt yu in the end if you dont.
additional note: once you get friendlier, give him a hug often. i mean..who doesn’t like hugs??.
i’ve done those first 6 steps before i even came to this website and things are going smoothly =]

the first 6 tips are questionable but #7 seems to be true. i’m friends with this guy and somehow he’s always hungry. i suggested cup of noodles in my car one day and although he refused it at the time, he blames me for making him crave it now. the point is that food works and you don’t even have to make anything fancy.

I dated this guy for about a month, he fell for me, I fell for him. We had a nasty break up and then I moved across the country. I hadn’t heard from him in MONTHS and then he calls me up, says that I’m the one for him and that we should be together. Naturally, I spent about a week thinking of him non stop. I went to sailing camp with my best friend Amara. And all the guys liked me there, which was odd because I’m kinda boring, but I think the bikini and blond hair helped.
Anyways, there was this kid there who was basically like my double and we struck up a conversation really fast. The thing was is that I was at church camp, so we weren’t allowed to hold hands, though my best friend did wqith her bf. So we went on a starlight hike for camp and stuff and we talked about anime and videogames the whole time. We went out for four months and then he broke-up with me.
Anyways, I have a question. Can calling him about twice a week get them mad at you? We live far away from each other and I’m wondering if me calling him several times a week got him mad…

1. Get urself looking ur best
2. Then figure out some way of being in touch with him, however don’t let him kno that u r deliberately trying to b in touch, just find some excuse, like i wanted to learn this.
3.While u do step no. 2 show him that u are not dependent on him, u have other life too, like u got other frnds too and dont let him feel u are into him.
4.While u do step no. 2 also be a shoulder for him, a support for him, ask him wot hpnd whole day and get to know his weak point, hit there, support him there and show him tht u really care but not bcoz u like him but bcoz thts in ur nature.
5.while u do all above, u ppl woud get close, be close, support, advice, care (remember like its in ur nature, dont let him feel u do it coz u love him)
6. Then make him a bit jealous, start distancing.
7. In the above 6 steps “smile” and optimistic attitude is crucial, however learn to draw a line in showing him tht u r optimistic and not over confident.

I’ve liked this guy, and for the longest time I used to bake him cookies, the only problem is I was too self-conscious to talk to him, and shy.
he KNEW i liked him, and for the most part it was really hard for me to just be open around him,
and so i ended up being labeled as “obsessed” with him,
because i failed to make communication comfortably.
So ladies, if you do everything else, and you’re too scared to be able to talk to the guy, it doesn’t work out so well.

I luved this guy ever since 2nd grade. But he luved the most popular girl. Itold my friend thats a boy too ask him if he liked me, his reply was “90 out of 100″ so i was happy pappy for the whole week. but the most popular girl was STILL ahead of me. Even if he does after a while break up with her or you see him every 2 months and talk to him every day 4 hours on msn. Yes this is me frustrating. I just found it funny how i was reaading and I thought: “I did this and this AND THIS!!!” Guys are just creatures that submit to sensual provocation. The only way to make a guy like you is to not show them much importance and still love them. Of course if the guy is a jerk that wont work either. Well that’s my piece of advice from a heart broken young woman.
