Politically Correct

December 3rd, 2004

I just read this and found it to be pretty humorous. The article talks about the most politically incorrect phrases currently out there. It notes that even the term “higher being” is too religious for people. The Los Angeles county purchasing must not have better things to do than to worry about the term “master/slave” on computer parts.

I’m not one for being politically correct, and while I don’t go around trying to offend people, I think it’s a joke to be worrying so much about what’s being said. Don’t people have anything better to do than to make words like “freshman” a politically incorrect word? Let me end with the following:

“Good tidings, my ethnic brother”

Edit: Here’s another example of political correctness: Chrismahanukwanakah! I thought it was funny, although it’s an ad for Virgin Mobile. Take a look.

  1. Chrismahanukwanakah!? What is that? That’s insulting to Jesus!
