One Year in Six Months
November 30th, 2004
For the past 6 months, starting on June 1, Mazie and I have been both reading the Bible. We’ve been following the set readings from One Year Bible Online. At first, we were planning on reading 1 days worth of reading, but it seemed too weird to start reading in the middle of 2 Samuel and skip everything before it. So I figured that we should read 2 days worth of readings each day, and sometimes 3 to keep on schedule. So everyday for the past 6 months, we’ve read the Bible and have both now finished reading the entire Bible.
This is the first time that either of us have actually read through the entire Bible, as both of us had mainly read the New Testament. I think we’ll be trying to read through it again starting Jan 1, but reading only 1 day at a time next.

Hey, those six months correspond very closely with the time that Ken Jennings kept winning on Jeopardy. Congratulations on finishing the Bible, BTW.

yea, it was sad to see Ken Jennings lose. Atleast he’s a millionare now.

wow. 2 days in a day? congrats!
the one year bible was way too much for me to handle because i like to skip around.
i didn’t know david koresh memorized the bible.
