People ask me, “What is a good anime to watch?” Well that depends, do you like mecha, faeries, ninjas? Well, one anime that I’m really liking at the moment, is a quiet show called MONSTER. Its a dark mystery suspense series about a Japanese neurosurgeon in Germany who is being hunted down by the AntiChrist.

Yes, I said AntiChrist. The opening scene displays the passage from Revelations 13:1,4.

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. So they worshipped the dragon who gave authority to the beast and they worshipped the beast, saying “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

This anime is amazing to me not only because its quality, but because its built around the question, “What would the antichrist be like if he were on this earth?”

No, its not a japanese version of the Left Behind Series. But it depicts a man so thoughtful, so elegant, so charismatic, so perfect, who deep down is the End-All. its mind-blowing!
