3 hour classes
August 31st, 2004
3 hour classes have got to be the absolute worst. My day consists of 3 90 minute classes, and then a 3 hour class from 6:30-9:30 PM. The 90 minute classes don’t seem like they’ll be too bad this semester, but this 3 hour class that I have every Tuesday night will be painful. The professor is Chinese, and his English is fine so I can atleast understand him. The only problem is that he speaks pretty slowly. He also likes to repeat himself. He used 7 slides to talk about the same exact thing…over and over and over… He just kept repeating himself and that just made it even harder to want to listen. Atleast it’s only once a week, although it might be on Saturday a few of the weeks cause he has to travel so we have to rearrange classes.
I was told before that graduate school isn’t about what you know, it’s about how much “pain” you can tolerate. I’m thinking that’s a pretty true statement.
